HOW WE GOT HERE
Julie O'Dwyer earned her degree in Architecture with a minor in Environmental Psychology from the University of Arizona, with additional coursework in Design from the Royal Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles is guided by an understanding of how spatial design affects human behavior, allowing Julie to find creative spatial solutions. She uses functional design, innovative artistry, and pleasing aesthetics to showcase the personal style of each client she serves.

Julie's career spans 30 years and includes work in architecture and design as partner and project lead for Holey & Associates in San Francisco; associate and lead designer with Gensler & Associates in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, New York, Los Angeles, and Tampa; and designer with The Hillier Group in Princeton and Philadelphia. In 2005, she founded JulieO Design and in 2014 she opened the Ashland Design Studio, both based in Ashland, Oregon. She is the mother of Olivia and Victoria, both talented artists and adventurous world travelers. A third -generation architect, Julie considers her father, still practicing architecture in Scottsdale, Arizona, to be her greatest inspiration. Julie is a founding member of the Splinter Group, serves on the board of directors of the Ashland Food Co-op, and is an active member of the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, the Builder's Association of Southern Oregon and Ashland Elks Lodge. When she's not designing some of the Rogue Valley's most beautiful homes, Julie can be found practicing yoga, shoe shopping and spending time outdoors.
